Unlike in many other games, Razz poker lets the best of the low hands split the pot.  At least 2 to 8 players can play this game.  A total of 7 cards are involved in these games with 4 cards being dealt face up and the 3 being dealt face down.  The person who makes a 5 low card combination wins the game.  A2345 is the lowest of the hands.

Ante is compulsory in Razz poker.  Every player who is intending to participate in the game should pay the ante which is usually one-fifth of the low limit bet.  There are restrictions relating to the lower limits and upper limits of betting with each round.  The ante is not calculated to contribute to the lower and upper limits in the future rounds.

The Razz poker dealer initially places one card face up and one card face down.  The bring in, which is the little bet should be placed by the player who has the highest ranking face up card.  If more than two players happen to have a high card that which is closest to the dealer when considered in the clockwise direction should make the small bet.  Then from there the betting continues until the last player, ending the first betting round.  After the bring-in you may not be required to place a bet to see the next card unless any raise has been made.

A total of five betting rounds are involved in Razz Poker games.  Each round has an increment of lower and higher bet limits:-
• First and second betting should be to the lower limit
• The third, fourth and fifth betting should be in accordance with the higher limit
• More than 3 raises are not allowed in a single round.

After the first round 4 more cards are to be dealt thus in whole contributing to the five betting rounds:-
• The third and seventh street cards are dealt face down.
• The fourth, fifth and sixth street cards are dealt face up.

Who should place the bets in each street cards of the Razz poker games?
• Third Street high rank bets
• Fourth Street low rank bets
• Fifth, sixth and seventh street low rank bets

After the betting round of the seventh street a show down is necessary in the Ruzz poker games. People can either muck or show their hands.  Muck is to prevent others from seeing your losing cards.  The low hand splits the pot after the show down.
