Here is a basic outline of how to play razz poker based on consideration to beginning hands, open cards of players, valid and invalid cards, playing to increase the pot size and making the best decision to fold or continue each time.

How to play Razz Poker with respect to beginning hands? With Ace to 5 being the best winning requirement a best starting hand would be if you have cards that fall within these numbers.  However, having pairs within these low cards can reduce your winning chances. Especially beginning hands with Ace through 6 can be played aggressively; however, if some other players are trying to bet aggressively with low open cards it may mean possibly they can fair, you need to watch for identical competition before betting too high with starting hands! If you happen to have 3 cards that are lower than 7 or 7 you can definitely spend some extra towards seeing the fourth card. However, if you are going to have an 8 in the beginning hand, you may land up losing lot of chips.

How to play Razz Poker with respect to open cards of other players? If you do not see any card that you require in the open card of other players, then you can definitely hold lucky if you have a performing beginning hand. You can bet confidently to the next round; however, you need to watch how the rest of the open cards turn to be before you go over-confident.  The accumulation of high cards in your opponent table can also waive a green flag for you winning. If any of your existing pocket cards turn out pairs in open cards of others that can be heartening too, because the more pairs you see the less likely you will be dealt with a pair. Every pairing your opponent gets in relation to what you have the better your chances are, and every pair you get in your own open card, the worse the winning could be.

How to play Razz Poker considering fast or slow play? Fast play let many fold and have less competition; however if you have a really strong hand you need to slow down with semi-bluffing and small raises to help your pot grow. Try to get the pot grow the maximum in the third street card.

How to play Razz Poker by folding in the right time?  You need to consider folding medium beginning hands if your existing opponent board cards show some powerful low cards or if your opponent has been making very strong betting for the draws they receive.  If you are going to play medium hands against such you are likely to loose some high stakes unnecessarily.  Also, many times you will land up with pairs despite having a strong beginning you need to stop getting frustrated or anxious and better fold decently!

There are hundreds of strategies operating on how to play Razz Poker and here is just a basic idea of how you should deal in these games.
